Press release
Call for papers for the Organic Semiconductor Conference 2008 cintelliq ltd, the world's leading provider of information services and technology consulting to the organic semiconductor industry, has issued a call for papers for the Organic Semiconductor Conference 2008 (OSC-08) which will take place in Frankfurt, Germany from 29 September - 1 October 2008. OSC-08 is the sixth conference in the series and is the premier international gathering for the discussion, demonstration and evaluation of organic semiconductor technologies and organic electronics. As well as industry sessions featuring invited speakers, OSC-08 will also host a number of peer-reviewed sessions which will run in parallel to the industry sessions. OSC-08 is now cordially inviting papers for the consideration of the 2008 peer review committee. The best papers will be accepted for oral or poster presentation at the conference. The deadline for the submission of a 300-word abstract and a 35-word summary is Sunday 4 May 2008. For more details, visit the conference website: www.osc-europe.com/papers.shtml Papers are invited on subjects relating to organic semiconductor technologies including, but not restricted to, the areas listed below. This year, for the first time, papers are also invited on the subject of carbon nanotubes, graphenes and fullerenes.
The papers that are selected for inclusion in OSC-08 will also automatically be entered into the 'Best Peer Reviewed Paper' category of the 2008 Organic Semiconductor Industry Awards (OSIA). The winner will be announced at the conference dinner. Nominations for the other OSIA categories will open in April. The previous conference in the series, OEC-07 (hosted in partnership with the OE-A), attracted just over 400 participants from 245 organisations, and cintelliq expects OSC-08 to be significantly larger. In 2007 the exhibition sold out three months before the event. To avoid disappointing potential exhibitors this year, cintelliq has reserved a much more spacious exhibition area at the Congress Centre at Frankfurt Messe where over 50 exhibitors can be accommodated in comfort. The new range of exhibitor packages for OSC-08 means that there is an exhibition option available for every budget. Craig Cruickshank, founder and CEO at cintelliq, said, "We have broadened the range of topics this year to include carbon nanotubes, graphenes and fullerenes, as well as the traditional organic semiconductor topics, because we want to encourage a wider participation in the conference. We had an excellent response to our call for papers last year and we are looking forward to seeing another selection of high quality papers in 2008. With the peer-review sessions and poster session planned for this year we have the space to feature more leading-edge research than ever before, while the competitive selection process ensures that the calibre of the papers presented at the conference remains high." 19 March 2008
