Seminar 2a: Organic photovoltaics: materials, devices, and processing

This preconference seminar covers fundamental concepts related to organic and hybrid materials for photovoltaic applications. The structure and operation of various organic photovoltaic devices will be explained and compared to that of conventional silicon-based devices. Specifically:
  • Basics of inorganic versus organic photovoltaic technologies
  • Organic semiconductors for photovoltaic applications
  • State-of-the art materials and performance
  • Film and device fabrication methodologies

    - Vacuum and Vapor Depositions
    - Solution Processing
