Organic electronic: printed and vacuum deposition to meet each other
- Until recently OLEDs were split between small molecule vacuum deposition and polymer ink jet printed.
- Clear borders between solution processing and evaporation are starting to disappear.
- PLED structures are incorporating additional small molecule layers, while solution processed small molecules are under development for upcoming organic electronic fields.
Gildas Sorin, CEO Novaled |

Organic thin film transistors (OTFT) for developing an alternative backplane driver technology for OLEDs
- Performance optimisation of top gate, bottom contact OTFT devices
- Simple OTFT circuit performance and strategies for low cost fabrication
- OPD and OPV device performance and development activities
- OTFT and OPD fabrication and characterisation infrastructure including OTFT lifetime testing system developed at CDT
Jeremy Burroughes, Chief Technology Officer Cambridge Display Technology |
| 09:45-10:15 |
Rollable displays: commercialization of a breakthrough organic electronics based product
- The use, need and technologies for flexible and rollable displays
- The technology used for rollable displays based on organic transistors
